Flight Focus Terms of Use

Effective: 16 October 2026

The service

Flight Focus is a collaborative focus timer presented as an imaginary journey. Flight durations, routes, airlines, layovers, and destination suggestions are estimates or playful storytelling. They are not live schedules, operating-route claims, travel advice, or booking services.

Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully and do not interfere with its operation, evade access controls, attempt to enter another private room without permission, or use the service to harm another person. Private room invitations and PINs should be shared only with the intended partner.

Availability and responsibility

The service is provided without a promise of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose. Keep your own copy of anything you need; anonymous rooms expire and are not a permanent record. You remain responsible for how you use destination, map, and travel information.

Optional accounts

Guest focus rooms do not require an account. If you create an optional account, provide accurate information for your own use, keep your credentials and sessions private, and do not impersonate someone else. Local handle/passphrase sign-in is development-only; a production deployment may use Google OIDC and is also subject to Google’s applicable account terms. You may sign out, export your data, leave a Passport, or delete your account through the available account controls.

Shared Passport and consent

A Shared Passport is created only when both participants in the completed room separately link their own seat and agree before the invitation expires. Creating an account alone does not consent to sharing. If both agree, the completed journey becomes a persistent private two-person stamp and either active member may change or remove the flexible shared goal or shared timezone. Weekly progress is informational and missing a goal has no penalty.

You may hide a stamp from your own Passport view, but that does not erase the other member’s copy. Leaving a Passport ends your membership and future rematch access without deleting the other account. Account deletion revokes your sessions and anonymizes retained shared facts with a neutral former-member label when the other person still needs the joint record. See the Privacy Policy for data categories, export, retention, leave, hide, and deletion details.

Google Maps

Flight Focus may include optional Google Maps features and content. Your use of those features is subject to the then-current Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Google-provided attribution shown in an exploration surface must not be removed, hidden, or altered.

Changes

The operator may update these terms when the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
